Horsetail Equisetum hyemale

The Horsetail is a unique, disease-resistant plant excellent for borders and bogs. Its simple profile is a perfect accent to modern gardens and landscapes. It is a "prehistoric" plant that expands via spores and underground runners. Due to high silica content it has a reputation for medicinal and industrial applications. Fast growing, it is an excellent natural water clarifier, and does well planted in pots or bogs. The Horsetail is hardy to Zone 4 and will re-emerge every Spring. It ships as a rootstock of 12 plants with trimmed leaves. Please read the planting instructions to insure transplant success. As with all aquatic plants, do not release into the wild.
